Travel for children is an initiative by New Light Youth Association and our partner organization Travel for children targeting to perform an expedition for child development.
The aim of the expedition is to acquire funds and create awareness for child development in East African countries e.g. Kenya , Uganda , Sudan Ethiopia.
The expedition will be a tool to create awareness for children who are denied the basic requirements that make life bearable in the society e.g. Food, Education.Shelter due to lack of resources in their region.
The initiative will be focused mainly with surrounding community that supports the welfare of the children who make up the most percentage in the society.
Expedition Objectives
By means of hands-on development activities such as practical education and accessible facilities the project strives for children's well being and availing opportunities which are available to only a few in the Surrounding Area.
The activities undertaken during the expedition will be in assistance of running projects by other organizations basically grassroots NGOS, Community based organizations (CBO), youth led organizations. Women organizations.
Funding of the initiative
The target budget of Travel For Children initiative is 30000 pounds and we hope to acquire more than the targeted budget which will mean more help to more needy children in the countries to visit.
The target budget is to be achieved through sourcing from various institutions, individual donations and also through required products either discounted or sponsored in advance of our project.
The budget is expected to cover the expedition and some finances reserved for the continuation of ongoing projects and the initial capital of our networking organization.
The budget will also be focused in supporting organization in their projects in various countries to be visited in the East Africa region.
The finance for the expedition will be reduced to a minimum and the acquired funds directed towards the Travel for Children project.
The project will be successful with partnership with other organizations and Institutions within the East Africa region and therefore an appeal to support the initiative is welcomed.
